Matthew 9:35-38 - And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

As I look at this passage above, I see Jesus pointing out the timeless opportunity, issue, and solution that we have. Respectively, the opportunity is that the harvest is plentiful, the issue is that the laborers are few, and the solution is to pray earnestly to the Lord to send laborers to His harvest. As I reflect on this semester, the harvest was and is definitely plentiful! We met many students throughout the semester that were hungry for the gospel and even more that were hungry to grow in their faith. However, the laborers are also few. Being the sole ENC campus missionary on George Washington Universities' campus this semester has reminded me of the importance of praying for more laborers for the harvest.

And the Lord answers our prayers that are in His will! We have 3 new missionaries that have raised initial partnership and are ready for the harvest field: Kaylyn, Brianna, and Zander! The uniqueness of each of their journey to get here shows the sovereignty of God . If you asked each one of them a year ago, they would have most likely imagined being somewhere completely different. Kaylyn was preparing for her last semester as a senior International Affairs major at George Washington University, Zander was a professor conducting virtual courses in Art History & Humanities at Los Medanos College, Brianna was a cross-cultural missionary in St. Thomas. Now, they each have responded to God's call to serve locally in DC. This is an answer to prayer!

However, there's more! We have 2 more missionaries-in-training that will be beginning to raise their partnership in January. God is supplying abundantly for his harvest that is on the campus. If all of this isn't already enough, as I mentioned in previous newsletters, we have 11 student leaders on our 3 main campuses who are at the helm of our outreach on campus.

As we close out this year, I'm grateful to be apart of what God is doing on the campuses. This semester we have seen 8 students begin to follow Jesus as Lord. This fact alone is enough to rejoice in! Jesus said "there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents." How much more for 8! We had an average of 26 students coming out to our Large Group moments, saw 2 students get baptized in water, and so much more testimonies! If this is what He did with our current team/laborers, imagine what can He do now that there are more laborers on His harvest field. There is so much to look forward to in this next semester but I would be remiss if I didn't use this as an opportunity to say thank you. Thank you again for partnering with God to change lives on the college campuses!
